Amy Robach and T.J. Miller, co-hosts of Good Morning America Following the revelation of their romance last week, Holmes have been removed from the air, according to TMZ.
Kim Goodwin, the network’s president, made the decision to remove the hosts from the air during an editorial call on Monday, according to sources at ABC. Just days after it was reported that the couple wouldn’t face any disciplinary action over their highly known romance, she referred to the spotlight on the couple as a “internal and external distraction.”
While the relationship was not against company policy, Goodwin allegedly said to ABC personnel, “I want to emphasise that while that relationship was not a violation of company policy, I have really taken the last few days to think about and work through what I think is best for the ABC News organisation.” I’m asking that we stop the whispering in the hallways. You know, we can’t operate with gossip, and speculation, and rumours. We need to stay focused on the work, Goodwin said, adding that if any ABC staff members feel there is “something that management needs to know,” they should speak with HR or talk to a manager.
The first reports and images of them holding hands in upstate New York appeared last week. Both of them have deleted their Instagram accounts, although neither has publicly commented on the matter. While Holmes is wed to lawyer Marilee Fiebig, Robach is still together with actor Andrew Shue. Both of them reportedly parted ways with their partners in August. According to sources, there have been whispers of an affair going back as far as last year.
The couple looked to be making fun of the media attention on their romance in their final on-air appearance last week. It’s too terrible that it’s Friday, you know. I just want this one to keep going and going and going. It’s been a terrific week,” the 45-year-old Holmes said, drawing laughter from his co-host. Have fun with it! “Speak for yourself. I am really thrilled about the weekend—and I’m sure everyone else is too. We all enjoy our Fridays around here. Some of us do, at least,” the 49-year-old Robach said.
