Following the launch of Tim Burton’s The Addams Family spin-off series, Wednesday, on Netflix, Morticia fever has taken over. With jet-black hair and vampy lipstick, Catherine Zeta-Jones assumes Anjelica Huston’s former role as the gothic goddess. The actor, it appears, has adopted some real-life beauty cues from her well-known character.
Zeta-Jones chose a combination of deep berry and purple makeup tones around her eyes for a smouldering look at a red-carpet event to celebrate the release of Disney’s National Treasure: Edge of History. It was the ideal technique to complement her dark brown eyes, especially when paired with a fan of spidery eyelashes that were heavily mascaraed. Zeta-deep Jones’s chocolate mane was done with subtle waves between the mid-lengths and ends, adding to the drama. She also rocked a glossy burnished-red lip, which felt like another tribute to Morticia, even though it was a far more forgiving colour than jet black.
