Google’s top searched celebrity of 2022 is Amber Heard, surpassing Johnny Depp, Elon Musk, and others.

According to study done by the Hollywood news website CelebTattler, which looked at data from Google search patterns, Amber Heard was chosen the most popular star in 2022. With an average of 5.6 million searches each month in the US, the 36-year-old actress leads the list of the most looked-up celebrities of 2022. This is probably because of her widely publicised court spat with her ex. Johnny Depp, the enquired-about ex, finished in second place with 5.5 million monthly searches.

Given the trial bracelet buzz, well-liked TikToks, and romance rumours, it seems sense that the ex-flame topped the charts because the two are still in competition even in internet search results. Heard was the most searched-for celebrity overall, with the most searches for the “Into the Woods” star coming from 34 of the 50 states.
The NY Post received a comment from a CelebTattler representative saying, “This year has certainly not been lacking when it comes to celebrity news stories, whether it be Elon Musk taking over Twitter or the ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ behind-the-scenes turmoil.” As the ex-spouses were followed by Kim Kardashian, Elon Musk, Tom Brady, Pete Davidson, and even the late Queen Elizabeth II, who finished in third place.
The death of Britain’s longest-reigning monarch, who had ruled for seven decades, in September at the age of 96 sparked 4.3 million Google searches every month for the whole year. Tom Brady, a fantastic quarterback, was the A-list athlete with the fourth-highest Google search volume in 2022. It’s possible that Brady’s unexpected divorce from his ex-supermodel wife Gisele Bündchen or his on-again, off-again relationship with the NFL had an influence on his search volume, which was 4.06 million per month.
Kim Kardashian and her ex-boyfriend Pete Davidson came in at places five and six, respectively, behind the monarch and the football player. Google searches for the mother of four who made headlines by attending the Met Gala wearing an authentic Marilyn Monroe gown reached 3.4 million per month in 2022. Pete Davidson, on the other hand, makes a point to highlight his current girlfriend, supermodel Emily Ratajkowski. By the end of the year, Davidson, who had a monthly average of 3.2 million, may receive even more clicks.
Zendaya and Millie Bobby Brown from “Stranger Things” came in ninth and tenth, respectively. The two young female emblems received a combined 2.78 million and 2.71 million Google searches.
It will be interesting to observe if these search numbers increase or decrease in 2023, the CelebTattler spokesman said. “This study gives a fascinating look into which celebrities have had the largest effect on the American people.
